Lately, I have been learning a new time management system - Totally Relaxed Organization. TRO is reallly a simplified version of Getting Things Done with a little bit of the Franklin Covey priority setting built in. It works for me because it a) captures all those to do thoughts that are floating through my head and b) puts the emphasis on the system not the tools. I tend to get stuck on the newest tool part.
I am taking a 21 day e-course which is helpful because I have some accountability for actually taking the steps. Also, hours in the TRO training lets you pick your combination of tools – mine are gmail and Remember the Milk and takes you step by step through setting them up. I now feel like I can really *do* RTM.
As far as getting things done, I am getting more billable hours in each day because I have a little more focus.
